Complete structural demolition of 9-story office building adjacent to occupied structures on one of the busiest streets in the Central Business District of Washington, DC.  This project included interior selective demolition to access asbestos containing materials, asbestos abatement, craning of precast concrete overhang sections, demolition of 2-story tall mechanical/elevator penthouse by use of Brokk robotic demolition tools, and demolition of structure down to grade, while leaving below grade exterior foundation walls intact and braced with processed rubble fill material....

Townsend Hall Renovation

Careful hand and machine demolition of historic brick structure directly attached to and adjacent to the dining facility on the active campus of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA.  This project included abatement of asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, weather protection, shoring, and bracing of adjacent historic structures....

Square 77 Renovation

Structural demolition of three 8-story historic brick dormitory buildings directly adjacent to occupied housing, student union, and cultural activities center while retaining original street-side facades.  Controlled demolition of upper floors and separation from façade-retention areas was performed using Brokk robotic demolition tools prior to access with extended- reach excavator(s).  Work included shoring and bracing of existing structures to control demolition activities, asbestos abatement, and extensive traffic-control and flagging/safety operations to allow activities to proceed without endangering heavy student and faculty/facility traffic....

Marketplace at Fell’s Point

Structural demolition of two city blocks of historic brick and stone row-houses, shops, and retail spaces while retaining original street-side facades.  Work included shoring and bracing of existing structures to control demolition activities, asbestos abatement, and detailed work adjacent to occupied structures and functioning establishments....
